March 08 Manitou Springs Police weekly report

FEB. 28

Manitou Springs Police officers checked on a woman living in her car in the 200 block of Cherokee Road. Due to her injuries, mental activity and overall inability to make decisions, she was placed on a mental health hold.

 

FEB. 29

MSPD located a lost firearm in a public restroom in the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard. It has been placed in safekeeping.

 

MARCH 2

Officers stopped a vehicle with expired registration in the 1100 block of Manitou Ave. The driver was unable to provide vehicle registration, proof of ownership or proof of insurance. The driver also had a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was cited.

A motorcycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of El Paso Boulevard. The details were entered into a national law enforcement database; there is no suspect information.

At 1851 hours, MSPD responded to a domestic violence report in the 00 block of Via Maria Theresia. The officers determined that a crime of violence had occurred and are seeking the arrest of the suspect.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Manitou Avenue regarding a possible suicidal person. When they arrived, the investigation indicated a domestic violence incident. The investigation is ongoing.

 

MARCH 3

MSPD was dispatched to a cold criminal trespass with no suspect information in the 00 block of Sandra Lane.

A 34-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct for various actions in the 100 and 200 blocks of Manitou Avenue.
