APRIL 2

At 1435 hours, Manitou Springs Police officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 00 block of Park Avenue. One person was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on assault charges.

A call for service regarding a cold harassment came from the 00 block of Via Maria Theresia. The suspect was then served with a summons.

 

APRIL 4

MSPD went to the same Park Avenue address where the April 2 incident occurred. The suspect stated that he believed his ex had stolen valuable items from his residence while he was incarcerated. He was unable to provide any proof of ownership, and witness and suspect statements don’t fully support the allegations.

A juvenile was involved in an incident in the 400 block of El Monte Place.

Officers stopped a vehicle traveling 20 mph over the speed limit in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue. The driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.

 

APRIL 5

MSPD contacted a person sleeping in public in the 500 block of Manitou Avenue. The suspect was arrested on local misdemeanor warrants and taken to CJC.

Officers responded to the report of a man struck by a vehicle while riding his one-wheel skateboard in the 800 block of Duclo Avenue. One officer went to the hospital to speak with him and got a limited description of the vehicle: a silver sedan. The victim sustained minor injuries and was released after being evaluated.

MSPD stopped a vehicle near West Colorado Avenue and Ridge Road. The passenger was wanted on a local felony warrant; the suspect was taken into custody and transported to CJC.

 

APRIL 6

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the 800 block of Manitou Avenue, but the driver failed to yield. MSPD has identified the driver and a warrant will be issued.

At 2149 hours in the 3000 block of West Colorado Avenue, MSPD stopped a vehicle leaving Manitou. The driver was wanted on local felony and criminal traffic violation warrants, and was arrested.

 

APRIL 7

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle with defective taillights and no license plate in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. The driver drove away and was later located near Duncan and Michigan avenues; the suspect was issued multiple citations.

While investigating the above incident, MSPD contacted a 38-year-old Denver man and found he had out-of-county felony warrants.

 

APRIL 8

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. The officers discovered it had been stolen and apprehended five juvenile suspects.
