FEB. 20

Manitou Springs Police officers responded to a cold theft reported in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue, where a security camera was stolen. A transient is suspected, but has yet to be identified.

An employee’s vehicle window was smashed in the parking lot of a business in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. MSPD responded, but there is no suspect information.

Officers stopped a vehicle near Manitou and Cañon avenues after multiple people alerted them. The driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.

A suspicious incident was reported in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers contacted a man who was found to have a misdemeanor warrant from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

 

FEB. 21

Officers responded to a traffic accident near Crystal Hills Boulevard and Sutherland Place. It involved a single vehicle and no injuries were reported.

A man wanted on a local felony warrant was observed in Soda Springs Park. Officers contacted him and arrested him; he was transported to CJC.

At 2039 hours, MSPD stopped a vehicle near the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard and arrested the driver on a local misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was taken to CJC.

Officers stopped a vehicle being driven recklessly near mile marker 299 on westbound U.S. Highway 24 at 2104 hours. The driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.

 

FEB. 22

A theft was reported in the 300 block of Crystal Hills Boulevard.

At 2006 hours, MSPD stopped a vehicle near Crystal Hills Boulevard and Manitou Avenue. The driver was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant and taken to CJC.

 

FEB. 23

Officers responded to a one-vehicle accident on Highway 24. Alcohol is not suspected to be involved.

Two vehicles were involved in a traffic accident in the 00 block of Ruxton Avenue. No injuries were reported.

 

FEB. 25

An unknown suspect scammed a person in the 900 block of Osage Avenue, using Facebook to steal $500.

 

FEB. 26

At 0601 hours, MSPD responded to a report of an in-progress domestic violence incident in the 400 block of Ruxton Avenue.

Multiple people reported a domestic violence incident in progress happening in the 600 block of Cañon Avenue. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

Officers stopped a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Colorado Avenue for a defective taillight, an illegal U-turn and expired registration. While checking the driver’s information, the officers discovered he was wanted on a local misdemeanor warrant and arrested the 21-year-old Colorado Springs man.
