APRIL 9

Manitou Springs Police officers respond to a fraud report in the 900 block of Manitou Ave. Charges have not been filed at this time.

MSPD attempted to locate a call for service from the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers then apprehended a suspect, who was transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on a misdemeanor warrant.

A traffic accident occurred in the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard. The driver of a rental truck was backing out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle, causing damage.

At 1533 hours, officers were dispatched to a business in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue, where a traffic accident had turned into a disturbance. Upon their arrival, the first driver had left the scene, but they talked to the second driver. The first driver was later contacted and served a summons for careless driving.

A resident in the 00 block of El Paso Boulevard reported that her neighbor had stolen her dog and refused to give her back. The neighbor stated that the dog was hers. The reporting party had more proof of ownership, but the neighbor would not give back the dog. The neighbor was cited with theft.

 

APRIL 10

Officers received a report of a possible fraud in the 600 block of Manitou Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

 

APRIL 11

MSPD was asked to check the welfare of a person in the 100 block of Piñon Lane. While there, officers located a woman with out-of-county misdemeanor warrants. She was issued a new court date and released on a person recognizance bond.

 

APRIL 13

Officers stopped a vehicle near Manitou Avenue and El Monte Place and learned the driver had a local misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was arrested and transported to CJC.

A bicycle was reported stolen from Narrows Road. There is no suspect information.

MSPD and the Manitou Springs Fire Department responded to a traffic accident with possible injuries in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue. MSFD paramedics evaluated everyone involved, but they refused care. After the investigation, the at-fault driver was cited and released. One vehicle was so damaged it had to be towed.

 

APRIL 14

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Elk Path. People were transported to a hospital; the investigation is ongoing.
