MARCH 5

A juvenile was involved in a case involving harassing communication, intimidation and stalking in the 400 block of El Monte Place.

At 1350 hours, Manitou Springs Police officers contacted a transient male in the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with possession of amphetamines and narcotic equipment. He was released from custody after being admitted to a hospital.

MSPD was dispatched at 1350 hours to a disturbance reported in the 500 block of Cañon Avenue. Officers contacted two people who had been involved in the argument. One was arrested for domestic violence and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

 

MARCH 8

Officers saw a vehicle nearly hit a truck and swerve near Ridge Road and West Colorado Avenue. They stopped the suspect’s vehicle and the driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.

MSPD stopped a vehicle being driven erratically near Manitou Avenue and Crystal Park Road. The driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.

Officers responded to a cold domestic violence report in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. When they arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. MSPD investigated and sought a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.

A person was reported driving erratically on U.S. Highway 24, and MSPD located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The driver attempted to flee in the vehicle, but after a short pursuit, the driver stopped and was taken into custody. An investigation was carried out and the suspect was issued a summons for driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.

 

March 10

At 1255 hours, officers were dispatched to a hotel in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue regarding a criminal mischief incident in progress. While en route, they received another call for service, also criminal mischief in progress, at a hotel in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody. He was booked into CJC on felony criminal mischief charges for causing damages at both businesses.
