Manitou Springs Police officers found a stolen vehicle in a business parking lot in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. They located a suspect and arrested her. She had multiple local felony warrants and was taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Department.
Dec. 7
MSPD located a man with active arrest local misdemeanor warrants in the 500 block of Manitou Avenue. While officers were taking the suspect into custody, he attempted to flee but was quickly taken into custody. They found a misdemeanor amount of a controlled substance and he was issued new charges and booked into CJC.
Officers contacted a transient woman trespassing near U.S. Highway 24 and Ridge Road. She was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant.
MSPD attempted to stop a vehicle near Crystal Hills Boulevard and Manitou Avenue. The driver eluded the officers and drove away.
Dec. 8
Officers observed a vehicle in the roadway in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue and investigated the incident.
MSPD stopped a vehicle for expired registration in the 2900 block of West Colorado Avenue and found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Dec. 9
A domestic violence incident was reported in the 00 block of Park Avenue; it was deemed unfounded.
Officers stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic offenses near West Pikes Peak Avenue and North 30th Street. The driver, who was wanted on a local felony warrant, was booked into CJC. The vehicle was impounded.
A driver attempting to avoid a deer on Highway 24 rolled the vehicle.
Miscellaneous incidents were reported in the 100 block of Crystal Hills Boulevard.
Dec. 10
MSPD responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers discovered that a man had assaulted a man and a woman. A warrant has been issued.
A hit-and-run traffic accident with vehicle damage occurred in the 00 block of Fountain Place. Suspect information was found.
Dec. 11
In the 200 block of Manitou Avenue at 0745 hours, MSPD contacted a person wanted on a local misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was arrested and transported to CJC.
At 1054 hours, officers responded to an unlawful contact (fondling) report in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. Suspect information was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
