Let’s give future generations an inclusive library

I am proud of City Council and the citizens of Manitou Springs because they have the vision and commitment to create a dynamic Carnegie Library, which will serve future generations as a public place for community connections and learning.

We did it right. By taking the extra time to re-think the Carnegie Library, we could accommodate concerns of citizens today and creatively plan for the needs of future citizens. The new design of the library is outstanding!

It protects the aesthetics/usefulness of the library park, it is accessible to all and it is flexible enough to let future generations re-imagine how to use a public library space. It is refreshing to have people working for future generations rather than just focusing on concerns of the present.

We all are so lucky to have dedicated citizens volunteering and helping the city government to bring the Carnegie Library into the 21st century. Thank you.
