A proclamation from King Joel and Queen Marjorie

Heartfelt thanks to those who nominated us and voted for us as Manitou Carnivale king and queen.

Thanks to family and friends who came out to support us.

Also, thanks to the Chamber of Commerce and all the sponsors for supporting the event, all the members of our court and all those who participated in the festivities.

We were overwhelmed by all the excitement in the streets as we led the parade down Manitou Avenue on such a beautiful day. We could see and feel the joy in the air as Carnivale made its comeback with a vengeance after a one-year hiatus.

It was a thrill and an honor to carry on this uniquely Manitou community event.

Quoting P.T. Barnum, โ€œThe noblest art is that of making others happy.โ€

Our wish is for everyone to do what they can to help us spread love and happiness throughout the land.

Manitou Weird and proud of it!
