At 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, the city of Manitou Springs sent a press release regarding a threat received at Manitou Springs Middle and Manitou Springs High School. Out of an abundance of caution, the Manitou Springs Police Department recommended a closure that the School District 14 implemented at both schools for Wednesday, Dec. 15.
The MSPD has not released additional information since it is an ongoing investigation.
