Heat, drought lead to Level 1 water restrictions

Manitou Springs is experiencing low levels of precipitation as well as high levels of heat. The best solution is a community-wide approach toward decreasing the amount of water used.

Manitou moved to Level 1 water restrictions on Friday, June 17. It is extremely important that all residents follow these restrictions to help conserve our most precious resource.

They are:
• Even-numbered properties can water Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays;
• Odd-numbered properties can water Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays; and
• Maximum of two hours per day, 5-8 a.m. or 7-10 p.m.

Violators are subject to a minimum fine of $100, per Municipal Code 13.28.030.
