The Manitou Springs Fire Department was dispatched at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, to a structure fire at the La Fun motel, 123 Manitou Ave. The fire was in an abandoned room, and was extinguished with zero injuries to firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The motel closed last fall after the city revoked the business license; Manitou Springs Police officers responded frequently to calls at the motel.
