Cascade house fire claims one life

One person died in a fire that demolished a Cascade home in the early-morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 9. Green Mountain Falls firefighters responded to a 911 call about 3:30 a.m.

However, the fire in the 6800 block of Howard Street could not be contained. Flames spread to a nearby property, but did not reach that home.

Detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Pikes Peak Regional Fire Authority, are investigating.

As of the Bulletin’s press time, the victim had not been identified, pending notification of relatives.
