Dear readers of the Pikes Peak Bulletin,
Warm greetings to each and every one of you in this snowy week!
First, on behalf of the Pikes Peak Bulletin board of directors, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your support and belief in our mission to provide reliable and community-powered news to the region. Your readership and engagement motivate us to continually strive for excellence in our coverage and serve as a trusted source of information for all.
Second, I wanted to share a couple of exciting updates with you in 2024:
We are busily working on our 2023 Report to the Community! It’s an opportunity for us, as the staff and board of directors, to reflect, reassess and rededicate ourselves to our mission.
It allows us to take stock of our progress, showcase our accomplishments and, most importantly, hold ourselves accountable for the promises we made to you, our readers.
Accountability lies at the heart of our commitment to you and our community. The upcoming report will be an open and transparent evaluation, showcasing both our successes and some of the challenges of operating in this, our first year as a nonprofit news source. We believe that honest self-reflection and listening is vital, and we’ve heard from you that we needed to make it easier to subscribe and support the Bulletin.
Accountability lies at the heart of our commutment.
To that end, we’ve implemented a new subscription and donation management service on our website, pikespeakbulletin.org, that helps us give you a secure portal to manage your subscription, update your address and donate whenever you like with automatic receipts for both options.
Thank you to all of you for being an integral part of our journey. We are excited to share the upcoming 2023 Report to the Community with you and look forward to your continued partnership as we navigate the future together — and celebrate our first full year later this spring!
With profound appreciation,
Becca Sickbert and the Pikes Peak Bulletin Board of Directors
