Creative Alliance Manitou Springs is planning some changes to work displayed through the Art on the Avenue program. All proposals will be presented to City Council on Tuesday, July 11, and public feedback is needed before then.

Here are the plans:

  • Move “Portable Deity” from next to the Ruxton Roundabout to Shoshone Spring;
  • Install Mary Angers’ “Sun to Moon Rotation” near the roundabout and bridge to Soda Springs Park;
  • Install Sean Yarborough’s “Sun Shadow Moon Light” where Tom Benedict’s “Juniper” is near the Spa Building;
  • Install a Pard Morrison column on the 18-inch pedestal in front of the Spa Building;
  • Install Doyle Svenby’s “Stumped” on the large pad at Shoshone Spring; and
  • Install Alex DiFiore’s “The Eternal Compass” where “Johnny Stegosaurus” was at 7 Minute Spring Park.
