At approximately noon Wednesday, June 28, Manitou Springs Police Department officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Manitou Avenue after a single-vehicle car accident was reported.
After responding to the scene, officers noticed the vehicle had driven into a tree after striking a parked car. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be intoxicated, and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
There were no major injuries to the driver or members of the public.
