Former Manitou Springs High school teacher Timothy Hilt is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 1, according to the Colorado Judicial Branch’s online docket. He has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
Matthew Barton, another former MSHS teacher accused of sexual assault on a student, appeared at a review hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 9. A pre-trial readiness conference is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 4, and his jury trial is set to start Monday, Oct. 10.
