Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department

The MSVFD is looking for people who want to make a difference in the community. Must be a Manitou resident, 18 or older, physically able to carry out the requirements, have a driver’s license and reliable transportation, and able to pass a criminal background check. Applications are available at the fire station, 620 Manitou Ave., and are due Jan. 31. Information: www.msvfd.com/join-us.

Manitou boards and commissionsĀ 

The Historic Preservation Commission needs two regular members and one alternate; the Housing Advisory Board needs three regular members and two alternates; the Open Space Advisory Committee needs one alternate; the Park and Recreation Advisory Board needs one alternate; the Planning Commission needs one alternate; the Transportation and Parking Board needs three alternates; and the Manitou Arts, Culture, and Heritage board needs two alternates. Community Congregational Church

Trail Ambassador Program

The Trails and Open Space Coalition is managing this effort to enhance experiences in local parks by providing environmental education, promoting safety and acting as the ā€œeyes and earsā€ about what happens there. Chamber of Commerce

People who are familiar with the area and like helping others are needed to assist at the chamber. Information: 685-5089.

Manitou Springs Carnegie Library

Anyone interested serving on a citizen’s group to collaborate with Manitou Springs City Council and the Pikes Peak Library District to help ensure the Manitou library stays a Carnegie library for next 100 years? If so, please send your name and contact information to [email protected].Ā
