Crowds turned out for a sweet and wholesome evening on June 7 as the annual ice cream social and pie baking contest was held at Soda Springs Park in Manitou Springs.
This year’s winners in the adult category are Abbie Laine for her “Blueberry Basil Babes” pie in first place; Natalie Gomez came in second place with her “Brown Butter Pecan Pie:” and Jennifer Hunt took third place with her “Keep Calm and Cherry On” pie.
In the kids’ division, Ariana Harrison won first place with “Ariana’s Apple Cinnalicious Fritter Pie;” Lucas Noe got second place with “The Greatest Strawberry Pie in the World;” and Miles Kernan took third place with “Happy Cherry Pie.”
