The Manitou Springs volleyball is season is off to a rough start after Fowler swept the Mustangs in the season opener on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Ayla Flett led the offensive attack with six kills, but there wasn’t enough offense overall to hang with the Grizzlies. The Mustangs lost 25-16, 25-17, 25-11.
Grace Allen led the Mustangs with 14 digs, Flett added 13 and Lily Glass added 11. The Mustangs will look to build on those numbers this week as they hope to prevent two straight losses to start the season.
They’re hosting Pueblo Central on Thursday, Aug. 25, then Pueblo East on Tuesday, Aug. 30, before hitting the road to face Lutheran on Sept. 1.
