Nov. 7
Manitou Springs Police received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle with no tires parked near El Paso Boulevard and Lover’s Lane. The vehicle was towed due to being illegally parked and inoperable.
Officers spoke to a family in the 00 block of Ruxton Avenue regarding a possible sex assault on a child that occurred in early 2021. The investigation continues.
MSPD stopped a vehicle near westbound U.S. Highway 24 and South 26th Street. The driver was cited for speeding and other traffic offenses.
Nov. 8
At 1559 hours, officers responded to the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard after a domestic dispute was reported. It was deemed unfounded.
MSPD contacted a woman near Ridge Road and Highway 24 at 0823 hours. She had an out-of-county misdemeanor warrant and was transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
At 1407 hours, officers responded to a traffic accident involving a downed power line in the 100 block of El Paso Boulevard.
MSPD stopped a vehicle for excessive speed at 2242 hours near westbound Highway 24 and Manitou Avenue. The vehicle’s license plate was found to be fictitious and was confiscated.
Nov. 9
Officers responded to a family disturbance in the 100 block of Pawnee Avenue. After de-escalating the situation, the man found to be causing the disturbance was transported to a local hospital on a medical hold.
A juvenile in the 00 block of Via Maria Theresia was involved in a harassment by electronic communications case.
At 1638 hours, MSPD contacted a person suspected of trespassing in the 00 block of Minnehaha Avenue. The suspect was wanted on a local misdemeanor warrant and was taken to CJC.
A vehicle with a defective headlight was stopped in the 3700 block of West Colorado Avenue. The driver was found to have a revoked license and the vehicle had a fictitious license plate.
MSPD stopped a vehicle near West Colorado Avenue and Columbia Road. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was cited.
Nov. 10
An officer responded to a check-the-welfare request at a motel in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue. A man was found attempting to commit suicide. He was transported to a local hospital.
MSPD responded to a check-the-welfare request regarding a man lying in a private driveway in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. He declined any medical assistance and was found to have a local misdemeanor warrant and was taken into custody. He also was in possession of an illegal controlled substance and received an additional charge, then was transported to CJC.
Nov. 11
Officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue. They investigated and cleared the scene.
Nov. 12
At 0430 hours, MSPD contacted a woman sleeping in her vehicle in a business parking lot in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. She was found to have numerous local felony warrants and was transported to CJC.
Property was found in the 400 block of Ruxton Avenue.
Officers stopped a motorcycle for a traffic violation in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue. The rider had a revoked license, no current proof of insurance and altered registration. The suspect was cited and released.
