A woman walked into the Manitou Springs Police Department lobby and turned herself in for a local misdemeanor warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant, took her into custody and transported her to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.


OCT. 17

MSPD responded to an assault report in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue. The aggressor was charged with aggravated assault.

Officers contacted a woman in the 600 block of Manitou Avenue and discovered she had a local misdemeanor warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to CJC.

A juvenile was involved in an incident in the 400 block of El Monte Place.


OCT. 18

A juvenile was involved in a harassment incident in the 400 block of El Monte Place.

MSPD responded to the 400 block of Pawnee Avenue to assist the Manitou Springs Parking Department with a vehicle associated with an at-risk missing person from Louisiana. MSPD investigated and asked the El Paso County Search and Rescue Team to assist with the search. The investigation continues.

An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Beckers Lane. It was towed away.


OCT. 20

Officers attempted to stop a Dodge Durango without a license plate being driven near 26th Street and U.S. Highway 24. The driver refused to yield and drove away.

A Kia Soul was being driven without headlights in the 3100 block of West Colorado Avenue. MSPD attempted to stop it, but the driver drove away. Officers later learned that the vehicle had been stolen.


OCT. 21

In the 600 block of Manitou Avenue, officers located a man wanted for a local felony. He was taken into custody and transported to CJC.

MSPD stopped a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Colorado Avenue after seeing it nearly hit a parked car. The driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.


OCT. 22

At 1946 hours, officers stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue and arrested the driver on multiple local misdemeanor warrants.
