OCT. 3

A juvenile was involved in an incident in the 400 block of El Monte Place.

The Manitou Springs Police Department responded to a menacing situation involving a handgun in the 600 block of Manitou Avenue. The suspect had fled the scene before the officers arrived, but information was gathered and an arrest warrant will be issued.

A juvenile was involved in an incident in the 00 block of El Paso Boulevard.

 

OCT. 4

A juvenile was involved in a liquor law-related incident in the 400 block of El Monte Place.

Near West Colorado Avenue and Columbia Road, officers attempted to stop a vehicle that had been stolen in Colorado Springs. The vehicle did not stop and the pursuit was terminated due to safety risks.

MSPD stopped a vehicle near South 31st Street and West U.S. Highway 24 after the driver turned briefly into oncoming traffic in front of an officer. The driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

 

OCT. 5

A man being transported in an ambulance began fighting with paramedics and fled the Highway 24/31st Street area. Manitou officers, with help from the Colorado Springs Police Department, located the 32-year-old Colorado Springs man and arrested him.

 

OCT. 6

MSPD responded to a reported of a man causing a disturbance and threatening others. He was quickly located in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue and was detained. Officers located drug paraphernalia on him. They concluded he was having a mental health emergency, possibly made worse by using controlled substances. He was cited and transported to a medical facility for assistance.

 

OCT. 7

Officers were called to the area of mile marker 299 on Highway 24 regarding a possibly impaired driver. They located wthe vehicle near 31st Street and Highway 24 and arrested a 24-year-old Colorado Springs woman for driving under the influence of alcohol.

MSPD responded to the 00 block of Manitou Avenue, where a disturbance had been reported. Upon their arrival, officers located a man suspected to be causing the disturbance; he had recently trespassed at the location. While detaining him, the officers located illegal controlled substances and paraphernalia. He was cited and released after being transported to a shelter.

 

OCT. 8

While patrolling the 3200 block of West Pikes Peak Avenue, officers found a 2018 Lexus that had been reported as stolen. They also located controlled substances in the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
