NOV. 14

Manitou Springs Police officers contacted a transient woman littering near the intersection of westbound U.S. Highway 24 and 31st Street. She was found to have local misdemeanor warrants and was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

At 1108 hours, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Colorado Avenue. The driver had a local felony warrant and was arrested and taken to CJC.


NOV. 15

MSPD contacted a man who had been told previously to leave the store in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. He was cited for trespassing and released.

At 0830 hours, officers stopped a vehicle near El Paso Boulevard and Black Canyon Road. The driver was arrested on a local misdemeanor warrant.

A parking complaint was reported in the 700 block of Manitou Avenue.

Officers stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign near Highway 24 and the Washington Bypass. The driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.


NOV. 16

MSPD assisted with an explosion and fire in the 3000 block of West Colorado Avenue. Officers used fire extinguishers to suppress the fire until Colorado Springs Fire Department personnel arrived. Manitou officers were able to identify a suspect after recognizing the person in surveillance footage.

A black and brown wallet was turned in with miscellaneous cards and an ID.

An electronic Rad Power Bike was recovered and placed into found property.


NOV. 17

MSPD is investigating a harassment report; a previous employee is harassing the person by phone.


NOV. 18

Officers stopped a vehicle that had made an illegal U-turn in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue and discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A 31-year-old Palmer Lake woman was arrested.

MSPD stopped a car speeding without headlights near westbound Highway 24 and Manitou Avenue. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.


NOV. 19

A domestic violence incident in progress was reported in the 00 block of Via Maria Theresia. It has been documented for information purposes.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of Manitou and found a person violating a court-ordered protection order. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into CJC. Another person there had a misdemeanor warrant from Teller County and was served a new court date and released.


NOV. 20

MSPD responded to the 00 block of El Paso Boulevard, where a domestic violence incident in progress had been reported. The officers found that a woman had struck her fiancé multiple times during an argument. She was taken into custody and booked into CJC.

Officers saw a vehicle being driven erratically and stopped it near West Highway 24 and 21st Street. They discovered the driver had a local misdemeanor warrant and took him into custody and booked him into CJC.
