Manitou Springs Police Department officers stopped a vehicle regarding an alleged fictitious license plate. The driver was issued a summons for fictitious plates and driving while revoked. 

 

June 26

Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Ruxton Ave. No parties were injured, and no charges were filed. 

Officers responded to reports of an alleged menacing that occurred at Highway 24 and W. High Street. Officers started west bound on Highway 24 attempting to locate the suspect’s vehicle. Green Mountain Falls marshal located the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a felony stop. Suspect was arrested for felony menacing and eluding. 

A city public works vehicle was damaged in an alleged hit and run. There is no viable suspect information currently. 

 

June 27

Manitou Springs Police Report

Officers responded to an alleged attempted motor vehicle theft in the 500 block of Manitou Ave. The suspect was located nearby and arrested on multiple charges related to the incident. 

A broken black Motorola cellphone was found in the street and turned in to the MSPD Info window.

June 28

Officers stopped a vehicle for weaving. The driver was arrested as a minor in consumption of alcohol, and for allegedly using someone else’s ID to obtain the alcohol. 

Officers responded to a local lodging establishment regarding an alleged protection order violation. The suspect was arrested and transported to MSPD. While in custody at MSPD the suspect allegedly fought with officers in the holding cell causing bodily injury to officers. The suspect was charged with two counts of second-degree assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest and his original charge of PO violation. 

Officers were dispatched to a party allegedly throwing items at people and cars. When officers contacted the individual, he allegedly attempted to assault one of the officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to CJC. 

Officers responded to a domestic violence allegedly in progress in the 000 block of Deer Path Ave. After investigating, officers did not make an arrest but did document the incident.

 

June 29

Officers responded to a report of an alleged harassment in progress. During the investigation, an officer became aware that one of the persons involved had an active warrant for their arrest. The warrant was for failing to appear in court regarding a traffic violation and was resolved with a personal recognizance bond. The party was issued a new court date and released. 

 

July 1

Officers stopped a vehicle regarding an alleged fictitious plate and issued the driver a summons for driving under revocation.
