JANUARY 14
Manitou Springs police officers responded to a hit and run traffic accident that occurred in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue involving a singular vehicle. No injuries were reported.
JANUARY 15
Manitou Springs police officers contacted a party in the 1300 block of Manitou Avenue who had a local warrant for their arrest. Officers took the party into custody and transported them to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1300 block of Manitou Avenue, whose driver had drug paraphernalia on their person and in their vehicle. Officers arrested and cited the party.
MSPD officers responded to a traffic accident where a single vehicle was overturned near W. Highway 24 and Washington Avenue. The driver was not injured. He was arrested on various drug distribution charges and on an outstanding felony warrant.
JANUARY 16
Officers located and contacted a party with a warrant in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers arrested the party and turned them over to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to several calls for service regarding a male party acting suspicious at different locations in the Downtown Manitou Springs area. The male party was contacted three times by Manitou Officers and was subsequently cited for disorderly conduct after repeated warnings were ignored. The party was served and released.
A bike was stolen from the side of a house on Oklahoma Road by an unknown party driving a black truck.
JANUARY 17
Officers responded to burglary call for service in the 800 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers determined that no burglary and no evidence of domestic violence had occurred.
Officers responded to a cold theft involving a bicycle rack at Fields Park. The area was canvassed for cameras, but none were found. There is no suspect information.
Officers responded to an assault-just-occurred call for service in the 000 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers contacted and arrested the suspect.
Officers stopped a vehicle after observing it continue through a stop sign without slowing down and almost hit another vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.
JANUARY 18
An underage party attempted to use a fake identification to purchase marijuana from a dispensary. Officers were able to positively identify and cite the party.
JANUARY 19
Officer stopped a vehicle in reference to a headlight out near Kiowa and 30th street. A fictitious license plate was found on the vehicle.
