JANUARY 28

Officers responded to a report of a theft occurring in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. Upon concluding an investigation, officers determined no theft had occurred.

Officers responded to a traffic accident that occurred on Navajo Avenue. No injuries were reported.

While on routine patrol, graffiti was observed on a building in the 1300 block of Manitou Avenue. The area was searched and photos taken.


JANUARY 29

Officers responded to a violation of a protection order domestic violence call for service. Officers discovered a restrained party was communicating with a protected party from within the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle just outside Manitou Springs on W. Colorado Avenue and S. 31st Street. when the vehicle eluded officers. The license plate was on the incorrect vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.


JANUARY 30

Officers located a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that eluded officers in the past couple weeks near the intersection of W. Colorado Avenue and S. 31st Street. Officers contacted the vehicle and driver, who also matched the description of the suspect. The driver had active warrants and was taken into custody and further charges are pending.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle just outside Manitou near W. Colorado Avenue and S. 31st Street when it eluded officers. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident on W. Highway 24. That turned into a three-vehicle traffic accident due to road conditions. No drivers were injured or cited.

Officers were informed of a party that was trespassing on private property. Officers contacted the party and discovered the party had a warrant for their arrest. Officers took the party into custody and transported them to CJC.

Officers were informed by an employee of the City of Manitou Springs a local business had tampered with its water meter.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the downtown area. The individual was taken into custody for violation of a protection order and charged for damages.


JANUARY 31

Officers contacted a running vehicle in a parking lot in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue with reverse lights on. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Officers contacted a party who reported a theft occurred in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue during an incident on Jan. 23.

Officers stopped a vehicle on El Paso Boulevard, leading to a DUI investigation and arrest. During the investigation the passenger exited the vehicle and shoved an officer, resulting in the passenger being arrested for assault on a peace officer.


FEBUARY 2

Officers located two parties passed out slumped over in a running vehicle in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUID and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers responded to an incident involving two unoccupied vehicles on Pawnee Avenue. One parked vehicle slid into another parked vehicle. A report was taken to document the damage to the vehicles.

Officers were called to a report of check the welfare in the Crystal Hills area. A Manitou Springs woman was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Officers responded to a report of a check on the welfare in the Crystal Hills area. Officers developed probable cause to issue an arrest warrant for a Colorado Springs man.


FEBUARY 3

Officers responded to a theft in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers located a male and female suspect. The male was issued a summons and released. The female impersonated a third party to attempt to deceive officers about her identity. She was arrested and booked into jail on new felony charges, as well as several outstanding felony arrest warrants.

Officers responded to a theft call for service in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue. Subsequently, officers arrested one suspect who was wanted on a felony warrant.
