Happy Cats Haven – Pet of the Week: Hello, we’re Bonnie and Nina, bonded BFFs looking for our furever family together. Bonnie is the adorable gray tabby and white gal with soulful yellow-green eyes. And I’m Nina, a tiny gray and white girl with expressive yellow eyes lined in eyeliner. We were brought to Happy Cats when our human could no longer care for us. Despite some tough times, though, we love to play, especially with wand toys! When playtime is over, it’s nap time and you’ll find us cuddling together! We’ll do best in a quiet home without other pets or kids. Our adoption fees together are $120 with the Friends and Family discount, sponsored by Petco Love. That includes our spays, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits and a free well-kitty checkup each. Happy Cats Haven: 719-362-4600, 327 Manitou Ave. Adoptions by appointment only until further notice.www.HappyCatsHaven.org, www.Facebook.com/HappyCatsHaven.
Humane Society – Pet of the Week: Hi there! My name is Castle, and I’m waiting for my royal family to walk in the doors. I’m a 7-year-old black and brown German shepherd that is a little nervous at first and will need some time adjusting to my new home. But once I’m comfortable, I love to run and play fetch outside! Tennis balls and being petted by my human friends are the best things in the world! Other dogs can make me uncomfortable at first, so I’ll do best with slow introductions to dogs already in your home. My adoption is $75 and I come with a voucher for a veterinary exam, vaccinations, 30 days of pet health insurance and a microchip, and I am already neutered. Just ask for Castle (1603230). Humane Society: 719-473-1741, 610 Abbot Lane. Call for hours. www.hsppr.org.
