Yule Days!
Y ule Days were celebrated in Green Mountain Falls Dec. 7 and 8. Diverse activities enticed young and old locals and friends from near and far. The warm weather was welcoming, and fun and festivities were enjoyed by all!
Yule Days was made possible by a collaboration between: Green Box Arts (GreenBox.org ), Building Ute Pass Community (BuildingUtePassCommunity.org ), Outlook Lodge (OutlookGMF.com ), Cantina Verde (CantinaVerdeGMF.com ), the Town of Green Mountain Falls (GreenMountainFalls.colorado.gov ), Elite Equine CO (EliteEquineCO.com ), Church in the Wildwood (WildwoodUCC.org ) and The Painted Bear.
The Boots & Bling Fundraiser Saturday evening drew over 125 people and raised $8,000 towards the Horse Wellness Meadow Barn and rescue operations by Elite Equine CO, to open in 2025. Gina Hluska – president, founder and rehab specialist of Elite Equine CO – makes her entry with her daughter Ash Clearly and her daughter’s boyfriend Forrest Hudspeth in high fashion.
Margaret Frey of The Painted Bear helps with ornament painting and cookie decorating as part of Yule Days activities on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus (Mayor Todd Dixon and Nancy Dixon) were so helpful in the coordination of Yule Days, and on hand during the weekend’s events.
A Craft Fair on Saturday featured local artists and offered a diversity of holiday goods! Here, Jann Martin offers her handmade pots, mugs and more.
Grayson Little, a local Castle Rock musician blending country, southern rock and soul, and past American Idol performer, entertains to wide acclaim during the evening Boots & Bling Fundraiser.
The Grinch Wagon held special appeal, provided by Bigfoot and Friends of the Peak.
Lisa Huizenga of Green Box pie-making fame and Lisa Bonwell, President of Building Ute Pass Community, help with cookies galore during Sunday’s Yule Day activities!
