Matthew Murphy, an Asplundh Tree Expert Co. employee, helps turn old Christmas trees into mulch on Saturday, Jan. 8, near Rock Ledge Ranch as part of El Paso County’s TreeCycle program. The $5 per tree requested donations help support youth development nonprofits in the area. Trees and monetary donations can still be dropped off at Rocky Top Resources, 1755 E. Las Vegas St., 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays through Jan. 31.
