he Manitou Springs Arts Council is pleased to announce Audrey Gray as its new president. As president, Gray will continue her service to MSAC and the local arts community during a time of transition and reinvestment in outdoor spaces.
“We are thankful for De Lane Bredvik’s contributions to our public art collection through newly acquired artworks like ‘Koyuk’ the bear near Soda Springs Park and other recent acquisitions for our community’s permanent art collection during COVID,” Gray said.
“I’m pleased to accept this appointment because of the opportunity to serve our mission with even deeper levels of collaboration and community partnership as we all navigate a return to public life.”
A Colorado native, Gray attended college in Texas and graduated from Southwestern University in 2001 with a degree in studio art. In 2007, she moved back to the Pikes Peak region and began creating and showing locally.
Gray also serves on the board of the Manitou Springs Creative District, where she works to support local artists.
“Audrey is a natural choice for the next phase of our organization’s evolution,” said MSAC secretary Edie Greene.
“Not only is she an artist herself, she has ample experience working in support of our most visible and publicly accessible program and has invested countless hours in promoting the Pikes Peak region’s creative community.”
MSAC is a volunteer board of artists and arts supporters who advocate for and oversee public art in Manitou. Information: manitouspringsartscouncil.org.
