No one has died of the coronavirus in El Paso County in the 14 days leading up to Tuesday, Aug. 30, according to the county’s health department. In that same timeframe, the county has seen 1,410 cases and 39 hospitalizations.

The county’s total since March 1, 2020, is 203,334 cases, 8,358 hospitalizations and 1,779 deaths.

The state has experienced 1,629,832 cases, 67,889 hospitalizations and 13,886 deaths directly blamed on COVID-19.

As of Aug. 28, El Paso County residents have received 1,186,769 total doses of vaccine. That’s 500,069 people vaccinated (69.2 percent of eligible people), 450,390 fully vaccinated (62.3 percent) and 197,811 fully boosted (27.4 percent).

The county’s eligible population is 6 months or older.
