City hosting community forums about Carnegie Library design

The city of Manitou Springs will host two community forums to engage Manitou citizens in the final design process of the Carnegie Library expansion.

The in-person forum will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in City Hall/Memorial Hall, 606 Manitou Ave. The second forum, which will be virtual, is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24. The Zoom link will be available at www.manitouspringsgov.com/633/_Carnegie-Library.

“We look forward to this next step in finalizing the design of our Carnegie Library,” said Rob Danin, who leads the Preserve and Renew Our Carnegie Library Task Force.

“With expansion and ADA compliance in place, Manitou’s citizens will have a library for the next 100 years.

“From the beginning of this process, community input has been critical in determining what the people of Manitou want and need in their library.”

Attendees will be invited to offer feedback about RATIO Architect’s latest design.
