12th Annual Manitou Springs Lantern Parade is coming!

Concrete Couch will once again lead the community in lantern making and a parade.

Lantern-making sessions will take place at the Manitou Art Center, 513 Manitou Ave., over spring break. These free classes will run 1-3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (March 21, 22 and 23).

Please RSVP to [email protected]. Kids younger than 13 will need an adult helper.

If you have a community group that wants to make lanterns, the Concrete Couch team is happy to come to you.

Everyone on the Concrete Couch team is excited to get back to their roots with continuing the parade. The first year included 25 people, and each year it got bigger (the last parade, in 2019, had 750 people!). Musicians are also sought for the parade.

The parade will start at 8 p.m. Friday, April 22, starting in Mansions Park, behind City Hall, 606 Manitou Ave.
