The Climate Action Working Group (CAWG) hosted the 2024 Greeni Awards on Saturday, Nov. 16, in Manitou Springs’ City Hall, recognizing local achievements in environmental stewardship. See page 12 for a list of winners and honorable mentions.

The CAWG is an independent environmental group which aims to create, promote and support climate-related initiatives in Manitou Springs and the surrounding area by working collaboratively with local government, residents and regional partners. Their goal is to increase community engagement and raise citizen awareness around environmental issues and challenges like watershed, tree canopy, fire mitigation, food security and more.
