Give! Nonprofit profile: Ahavah Community Initiative
What
Founded April 2018, our mission is to connect people who are facing food insecurity due to financial struggles to locally-farmed, regeneratively-grown produce and to provide education centered around healthy living and environmental consciousness. We fulfill this mission by donating freshly harvested, regeneratively-grown produce to families in need through a weekly vegetable subscription. Memberships include a weekly bag of locally-grown produce along with free farm tours, classes and events.
Why
We want to help participate in the creat ion of a local food-sys tem-economy, build on a diversity of local and regenerative food education and provide activities and children’s events centered around environmentally responsible agriculture and pure, beyond-organic, local food. Getting fresh, regeneratively grown produce into the hands of those experiencing food insecurity is our way of creating lasting impact.
Goals
1. To provide the purest food possible to those that need it the most.
2. To provide education and cultural reconnection to the food we eat.
3. To provide agri-centered social opportunities through on-farm events, market-hosting and community outreach.
Did you know
Since 2018, we have donated over $650,000 in free food and more to local families in need.

“Without Inside Out, I wouldn’t know where I would be today. It has been so crucial to my development and growth as a queer person, and made up for the safe environments I didn’t have growing up. I got trusted adults, resources, and support that I had never received in other places like before.” — Skylar (they/he), age 24
