Manitou Springs Receives $18,000 Grant for Wildlife-Proof Trash Cans thanks to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

The city is providing 64-gallon wildlife-proof trash cans to protect local wildlife and keep our neighborhoods clean. These durable “Toter” cans are IGBC-certified (#5416), measuring 32.3″ x 25.2″ x 45.5″, and are specially designed to resist wildlife interference, keeping bears and other animals safely away from trash.

How to Get Yours:

  1. Apply Now: Visit our website and find the “Wildlife Resistant Trash Can Application” under the “forms” tab in Neighborhood Services.
  2. Pick Up: After approval, you’ll be contacted to schedule a pick-up appointment at Public Services.
