UPDATE: In order to accommodate the great response to this event, it is being moved to Wednesday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the El Pomar Foundation Penrose House Garden Pavilion located at 1661 Mesa Ave. We look forward to you joining us for this amazing opportunity!
“Undivide Us” is a film that challenges the idea that citizens who disagree are not capable of civil conversation and demonstrates the truth that, even in our differences, the American experiment is still alive and well.
Following the film there will be a discussion led by Martin Carcasson, Ph.D., founder and director of the Center for Public Deliberation at Colorado State University. His research focuses on helping local communities address differences through improved public communication, community problem-solving and collaborative decision-making.
This screening is part of a statewide initiative called Above the Noise, led by Rocky Mountain Public Media in partnership with the Colorado Press Association, Colorado Media Project and CSU. It brings together a local network of media outlets to create a stronger Colorado by deeply listening to the experiences of people who live here.
The event is free to attend, though space is limited.
