Upcoming Community Education and Engagement Series for Plan Manitou Update

UpdatePlan Manitou is Manitou Springs’ comprehensive plan and community roadmap. Since its adoption in 2017, the City of Manitou Springs and community have worked to implement the goals of Plan Manitou. While substantial progress has been made, the City initiated a targeted update of Plan Manitou in early 2024. Key objectives for the Plan Manitou 2.0 process are to:

  • Confirm that the overarching vision, goals, and policies established as part of the Plan Manitou process continue to reflect the community’s aspirations.
  • Refresh the background and trends data that informs the Plan.
  • Align the Plan with recently completed plans and studies.
  • Clarify near-term priorities, opportunities for collaboration, and roles and responsibilities for implementation.

The process is scheduled for completion in early 2025. The community will have multiple opportunities to provide input over the coming months, both in-person and online. Learn more through “Question of the Week,” on our website and social media.
