The Manitou Springs Community Foundation (MSCF) has unveiled two initiatives aimed at bolstering bonds within the community. These endeavors, the Manitou Springs Giving Circle and the Manni Neighborhood Connection parties, provide residents with opportunities to engage with neighbors, champion local causes and cultivate a collaborative ethos.

Launching this June 13, the Manitou Springs Giving Circle (a project of Manitou Springs Community Foundation & Manitou Springs Women’s Club) offers residents a platform to combine resources and effect substantial change in local nonprofit organizations. This membership-driven program will convene quarterly to address pressing community needs, culminating in the collective designation of a grant recipient.

Membership in the Giving Circle is open to all, requiring a minimum quarterly donation of $50. By pooling contributions, participants facilitate significant grants for deserving organizations.

To enlist and contribute, visit manitouspringsgivingcircle.org or contact Ken Jaray at 719-660-4217.

In tandem with the Giving Circle, the MSCF introduces the Manni Neighborhood Connection Parties, aimed at fostering neighborly bonds and collaboration through financial support for block parties across Manitou Springs.

Envisioned as warm summer evenings providing neighborly connections and camaraderie, these gatherings will receive grants ranging from $50 to $100 to aid in organization.

To participate:

● Register your event by contacting the MSCF at mannimanitou@gmail.com or 719-321-5354;

● Host a party to engage neighbors in a welcoming atmosphere;

● Engage in discussion about neighborhood improvements and charitable support; and

● Share event highlights and outcomes with MSCF.

The MSCF will reimburse hosts $50 for gatherings of five to six households and $100 for larger parties of seven or more households.

Let’s unite, celebrate our community and fortify Manitou Springs, one block party at a time!
