Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department
The MSVFD is looking for people who want to make a difference in the community. Must be a Manitou resident, 18 or older, physically able to carry out the requirements, have a driver’s license and reliable transportation, and able to pass a criminal background check. Manitou Boards and Commissions
The Historic Preservation Commission needs two regular members and one alternate; the Housing Advisory Board needs three regular members and two alternates; the Open Space Advisory Committee needs one alternate; the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board needs one alternate; the Planning Commission needs one alternate; and the Manitou Arts, Culture, and Heritage board needs two alternates. Heritage Center
The Manitou Springs Heritage Center needs volunteers to greet visitors at the front desk and assist working in the collections of historic photos and artifacts; training is provided. The museum has other volunteer opportunities that don’t require being on-site or scheduling regular hours, such as helping with the website, producing videos and creating audio tours.
