7 a.m.-5 p.m. Rock and Erosion Removal Operation on Sunshine Trail

Due to recent heavy rains, rocks and dirt erosion alongside Sunshine Trail (Washington Bypass) has increased. Manitou Springs Public Works department will remove these materials and, during this period, no traffic will be permitted travelling (north) on Sunshine Trail from its intersection with Washington Ave. to U.S. Highway 24. Only vehicles exiting from Highway 24 into Manitou Springs will be allowed to use this section of the roadway. Please use alternate routes to access the highway and drive carefully in this area, as crews will be working in the street.

Soft opening for a celebration of the life and work of the late artist, marking one year since his death. John was a studio artist at the Manitou Art Center for many years and was very active in Manitou Springs. The exhibit includes pencil, pastels, oils, landscapes, still lives, portraits and fabric.
