9-10 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays in July. Yoga at the Rocks Class for yoga practitioners from beginners to the more experienced. Goal is for yoga to be accessible and fun for everyone through a combination of Vinyasa and Yin yoga-styles. Bring your own mat, water bottle and other props you enjoy using for practice, and a smile. Meet at the Chuckwagon Pavilion in the Central Garden, off Lot 2. 10:30-11:30 a.m. every day. Garden of the Gods Guided Nature Walk Daily guided walks, weather permitting, introduce participants to the park. Approximately 1.5-mile walks depart from the Visitor and Nature Center and follow the mostly paved Gateway Trail to the paved Central Garden Trail. Participants are encouraged to continue exploring the Central Garden or may return to the Visitor Center with the guide. The average duration is 45-60 minutes. Tickets are required and cost $5; sold on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds, but free registration for anyone affected by COVID-19. Go here for tickets. 7 a.m. Barr Trail Mountain Race Runners will begin the 12.6-mile course at the Cog Railway Station, ascend Barr Trail to Barr Camp before turning, descending and finishing at the Barr Trailhead. 7 p.m. “Songs of Summer” J. Chang Tablada brings a contemporary concert of music and storytelling against the backdrop of the Community Congregational Church’s historic sanctuary. One of Colorado Springs’ most beloved and prolific music directors, J. Chang-Tablada is known for his work with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College, Theatreworks and Millibo Art Theatre. Tickets $15 pre-sale online and $20 at the door.
