Glitch in SeeClickFix software being worked on

To the community:

It has come to our attention that there is a bug within the SeeClickFix software. If registered users make a comment on a post — even if you selected “hide your identity” for anonymity — notification emails sent to city staff will include your name.

This is a major concern to city staff, as it goes against the core values of why we introduced this software, and why it is so useful for community members and staffers.

We are in communication with the SeeClickFix software engineers to resolve this problem, and we are hoping for a speedy resolution. In the meantime, SeeClickFix will work as normal, but please do remember that until this bug is fixed, anonymous comments, although they appear anonymous in the public view, are not anonymous to city staff.

We will provide another update once this issue is resolved.
