COVID-19 issue concludes Manitou volleyball season

The Manitou Springs volleyball team was all set for regional action this weekend, but a COVID-19 issue has ended its season.
The Mustangs finished with a 9-3 overall record and went 8-2 in the Tri-Peaks League, losing only to Lamar and St. Mary’s.
The team, seeded at 15 heading into regionals, was set to travel to Montezuma-Cortez to play against the Panthers and Delta for the right to go to the state tournament at the Broadmoor World Arena.
The Mustangs beat Buena Vista 25-17, 25-13, 23-25, 25-23 on April 22. Avah Armour led the Mustangs with 20 kills, while Bella Coscetti had 10.
Two days later, the team drove across town and got a 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19 win over Vanguard. Armour again led the Manitou attack, finishing with 16 kills in the match.
