Colorado has achieved a historic milestone: 75 percent of residents 18 and older (3,381,447 people), and 73 percent of all eligible Coloradans (3,628,890 people ages 12 and older) have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine.

For the past week, the state has averaged 4,314 vaccinations per day among those ages 12 and older. More than 55 percent of Coloradans ages 12-17 (247,443 people) have received at least one dose, and 3,306,227 Coloradans are fully immunized.

“This is a pivotal moment for our community as Coloradans continue to make progress in the fight against COVID-19 and dangerous and contagious variants like the delta. More and more people are getting off the sidelines and protecting themselves,” Polis said.

“But we need more Coloradans to safeguard their health and the health of their loved ones against this deadly virus so I urge Coloradans to get the safe, effective, and FDA-approved vaccine. Get vaccinated today to protect our progress, safeguard in-person learning for our students, and to help our economy build back better.”

Last week, the Food and Drug Administration approved Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine for Coloradans aged 16 and older.

All Coloradans 12 and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and all Coloradans 18 and older are eligible to receive the Moderna or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. Information: covid19.colorado.gov and cocomebackcash.com.
