New art installation kicks off summer in Ute Pass

June 27, Fantasy Trivia

June 27 – July 12, Green Box Arts Festival

June 29, Horse Wellness Meadow Open House

Experience the new Green Mountain Falls Horse Wellness Meadow, operated by Elite Equine Rescue. On Sunday, June 29, 4-5 p.m., see the horses that will call this facility home. Elite Equine will give tours and answer questions. Free signup at greenboxarts.org.

 

July 2-12, Your Stories – Our History

This community storytelling project invites people with a connection to Lower Ute Pass to celebrate our shared history. Fourth of July Block Party

Starting at 6 p.m., stake out your spot on the lawn near the Green Box Farm Stand in Green Mountain Falls. Bring a picnic or grab food from local vendors. Aerial Aura will perform aerial acrobatics on Lake St. The Badda Boom Brass Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. The evening closes with a Water Lantern Launch at 9 p.m. on Gazebo Lake. July 3-6, Red Cloud Yard Sale

The Red Cloud Foundation is hosting its annual summer yard sale from July 3-6 at the Red Cloud Serenity Club. Please bring gently-used donations (no TVs or large furniture) to 10040 Ute Pass Trail Ave. in Green Mountain Falls at 11:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. daily leading up to the event. July 19-20, Marigreen Pines Tour

Marigreen Pines was built as the family home of Thomas Cusack, the “billboard king of Chicago.” The Cusack family gifted the estate to what is now the Holy Cross Novitiate. The mansion and grounds are only open to the public once every three years. Tickets at UtePassHS.org.

 

July 26, Bronc Day Festival

Renowned for its small-town charm, Bronc Day has been delighting Green Mountain Falls’ visitors for 87 years with its wholesome, family-friendly fun. Even kids can be in the parade! Bakers wanted for the pie contest. Information and signups at BroncDayFestival.org.
