FEBRUARY 12

MSPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3600 block of W Colorado Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI. 


FEBRUARY 13

Two nights prior, officers had a vehicle elude them during an attempted traffic stop. Officers located the vehicle and suspect near W. Colorado Avenue and 31st Street and arrested him for eluding and reckless driving and booked him into CJC without incident.

Manitou Springs police officers responded to a single vehicle traffic accident on W. Highway 24 in an eastbound lane. Officers assisted in the removal of the disabled vehicle from the highway. 

Manitou Springs Police Department officers responded to a local business in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue for a report of a male party trespassing. Upon arrival, officers requested to remove the male suspect from the property. The male party was quickly escorted away. Officers attempted to identify the male suspect, but he refused to provide his identifying information. The male party was taken into custody and later identified by his fingerprints and issued charge for failing to identify himself. The male party had El Paso County warrants.

Fireworks were confiscated from an individual lighting them off at the skatepark on El Paso Street. 


FEBRUARY 14

Officers were dispatched to a call for service regarding an intoxicated person in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers arrested the intoxicated party for disorderly conduct. Officers served and released the intoxicated party.

Manitou Springs Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Manitou Avenue. During the stop, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was found in the vehicle. A summons was issued. 


FEBRUARY 15

Manitou Springs Police Department conducted a traffic stop near 30th and W. Colorado Avenue. During the stop, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was found in the vehicle. A summons was issued.

Manitou Springs police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue. When officers contacted the vehicle, they found the driver was driving under restraint and had open containers of alcohol and marijuana. Officers arrested the driver and transported them to CJC on unrelated warrants.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying expired plates in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers discovered the driver of the vehicle had warrant for their arrest. Officers arrested the driver and transported them to CJC to be held.

Manitou Springs Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle with a large trailer that had collided with a fence on Dudley Road. The vehicle was no longer occupied, and officers were not able to make contact with the registered owner. A local tow truck company responded and were able to remove the vehicle and trailer without causing further damage. Officers are attempting to contact the registered owner to gather more information.

Officers responded to a report of a male party walking around in public inappropriately dressed with his genitals exposed on Via Maria Theresia. Upon investigation Manitou PD issued a summons with a county court date for Public Indecency.

Officers were dispatched to a cold traffic accident that involved the hit and run of a parked car in the 700 block of Manitou Avenue. Officers contacted both parties and determined that a hit and run had occurred. 

Officers responded to a report of a roll over traffic accident involving a singular vehicle that occurred on W. Highway 24. The driver of the vehicle was evacuated from the wreck with no notable injuries. 

Officers were notified that a patron of a local bar in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue was possibly assaulted while walking home. After reviewing video footage, officers could not conclude that an assault occurred.

Officers responded to a cold domestic violence call for service in the 300 block of Ruxton Ave. No new charges were filed. One suspect was arrested an outstanding warrant.
