NOVEMBER 24
Officers responded to a cold theft call for service that occurred in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue. No suspect(s) have been identified at this time.
NOVEMBER 26
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on W. Highway 24 and Washington Avenue. to assist an outside agency. Officers contacted a male and female suspect in a theft investigation.
The Manitou Crisis Response Team responded to a suicidal check the welfare. Following investigation, a juvenile was placed on a mental health hold and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
NOVEMBER 27
Officers responded to a check the welfare call for service involving a juvenile in the area of 15 El Paso Blvd. The juvenile was unharmed and returned to their legal guardian without incident.
NOVEMBER 28
A citizen reported that a family member had forged and cashed multiple checks. Officer provided information and documented the incident.
NOVEMBER 29
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle regarding traffic infractions. The vehicle fled the area. Officers eventually located the vehicle abandoned near the Crystal Park gated community. An investigation is ongoing.
Officers contacted a vehicle with the driver passed out in the driver seat of a running vehicle on W. Colorado Avenue. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.
Officers responded to a reported hit and run accident, which caused vehicle damage. Upon arrival, it appeared that a spare tire had detached from a passing trailer, which hit the vehicle. The tire was still on scene.
NOVEMBER 30
Officers were contacted about a hit and run witnessed by a bystander. The bystander got a photo of the run vehicle. Officers attempted to contact the owner but were unsuccessful. Out-of-state vehicle registration had insurance information on the run vehicle, so insurance was able to be provided to the victim.
DECEMBER 1
Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and no license plate. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.
DECEMBER 2
Officers performed a traffic stop in the vicinity of 500 Manitou Ave. and contacted a white male who was driving with a revoked driver license.
