Community Church celebrates 40th gift to area nonprofits 

In this season of giving and gratitude, the Manitou Springs Community Church is celebrating its 40th gift of $100 made in 2024 to area nonprofits and others. In each case, the church recognized the contributions of these organizations in building and enhancing our community. What makes Manitou Springs a great community? It has involved citizens and organizations, working together to improve and celebrate the lives of those who live here. This is indeed a season to count our blessings. 

First on the church’s list of recipients was the Pikes Peak Bulletin. Celebrating the first anniversary this year of the revitalized Bulletin with multiple gifts, the church expressed its hope that everyone in the community will continue to support this essential community resource. 

Gifts from the Community Church were also made this year to the Manitou Springs Carnegie Library. The library is due to reopen soon. The church celebrated making the library accessible to all. 

The Manitou Springs Heritage Center received donations from the church to assist in maintaining community heritage with its beautifully remodeled museum. 

The Manitou Arts Center was heralded by the Church with gifts for being the creative heart of Manitou Springs.

The Mineral Springs Foundation was applauded for restoring and protecting our community water resources. 

The Manitou Springs Community Foundation was celebrated for its work inspiring community connections. 

The Creative Alliance (Crane) was supported for uplifting artistic vitality in our community. 

Flying Pig Farm was celebrated for its community work with children. 

Happy Cats Haven received support for building community one feline home at a time. 

Miramont Castle was thanked for its celebration of our community’s history. 

Manitou Springs Pridefest was celebrated for its efforts to support all members of our community. 

Manitou Springs Carnivale received support for knowing how to celebrate Manitou Springs-style. 

Concrete Couch was thanked for involving young people in building artistic projects throughout the region. They know how to create community. 

Westside Cares has been supported by the Community Church for many years. They received additional gifts this year for their constant compassion for our neighbors in need. 

The Manitou Springs Police Department and Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department were also appreciated with gifts from the Church for their service in keeping our community safe. 

The Manitou Springs Community Church has been an active and engaged part of the community for nearly 150 years. It is a welcoming and inclusive community, proud to support others doing great work. The church is a popular meeting and wedding venue. It welcomes everyone to hear great music and find holiday spirit during the coming weeks.

The entire community is invited to visit the Church at 103 Pawnee Ave. on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. to see what they are up to next.
