OCTOBER 28

MSPD Officers contacted a male party with a warrant. The male party refused to come out for officers. Officers made entry into the residence to affect the arrest. The male party resisted against officers. Male party was taken into custody.

 

OCTOBER 29

MSPD officers contacted a large illegal camp. The occupant of the camp did not follow orders to vacate in days prior. He was issued a summons for trespassing and littering.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call for service that occurred in the 00 block of Manitou Ave. No injuries were reported. Officers identified the suspect and submitted a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

 

OCTOBER 30

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident that occurred in the 500 block of Manitou Ave. No charges have been filed at this time.

Officers responded to a theft in progress in the 900 block of Manitou Ave. During the course of the investigation, officers discovered a female party had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. She was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail without incident.

 

OCTOBER 31

An officer with the Manitou Springs Police Department contacted a male party with two active warrants for his arrest. The male party was taken into custody and booked into CJC without incident.

An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle near Ruxton and Manitou Avenue and left the scene without leaving any information. An investigation is ongoing.

The Manitou Springs Police Department arrested a male suspect with a warrant for his arrest. While taking the male party into custody, he was found to have a large amount of marijuana in his possession. The marijuana was seized for suspicion of intent to distribute. After the seized evidence was processed charges were filed against the suspect.

 

NOVEMBER 1

Officers stopped a car for speeding and weaving. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

An officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 24 and Ridge Road for a fictitious license plate. The driver was issued a summons and released.

Officers stopped a car for making a wide turn into oncoming traffic and swerving. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

The Manitou Springs Police Department responded to a report of theft at a local business. In the 100 block of Manitou Ave. The suspect was located a couple of blocks away from the business and found to have a felony warrant for his arrest. The items stolen were returned and the business did not want to pursue charges. The suspect was then booked into CJC for his warrant.

The Manitou Springs Police Department contacted a male suspect with an active felony warrant for his arrest. While taking the male suspect into custody several items of drug paraphernalia were found in his possession. The male suspect was cited and booked into CJC for his felony warrant.

 

NOVEMBER 2

While conducting a patrol check in the 100 block of Manitou Ave., Officers contacted a Woodland Park man and found him to have an active arrest warrant from Durango. The subject was arrested and transported to the El Paso County Jail.

A transient male came to the Manitou Springs Police Department and turned himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject was transported to the El Paso County Jail.

 

NOVEMBER 3

A Lakewood man was contacted in the 900 block of Manitou Ave. and found to have multiple outstanding arrest warrants. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the El Paso County Jail.

 

NOVEMBER 4

Officers located a stolen motorcycle. The bike was recovered, and the owner was contacted. MSPD officers contacting a transient for illegal camping. He was previously reported missing out of Trinidad, Colorado.

Officers received a report of a bicycle stolen out of a garage in the 100 block of Crystal Hills Blvd. There is currently no suspect information. The bicycle was entered into a national law enforcement database as stolen.
